BMW officially introduced the serial version of the X2 crossover. At the beginning, the novelty will be available with two engine options, and within a few months the range of power units will be expanded to four petrol and two diesel engines. The detailed prices and complete sets of a crossover are not revealed yet.
The exterior of the new BMW X2 in many ways repeats the features of the concept, which was shown last fall. The car is based on the UKL2 modular platform, which also serves as a bases for the BMW 2 Active Tourer and the BMW X1 crossover. As expected, the crossover comes with front-wheel-drive and all-wheel drive.
The motor line of the new BMW X2 will initially be presented by two-liter four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. So, the petrol unit with a capacity of 192 hp. will be installed on the front-wheel drive version of the crossover. Diesel engines with a capacity of 190 and 231 hp., respectively, will appear on the all-wheel drive version of X2. The engines will be paired with a seven-stage double-clutch or an eight-speed automatic transmission. According to the manufacturer, later the range of engines will be expanded with a three-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 140 hp.
The initial version of the BMW X2 will receive 17-inch wheels, sports suspension and elegant and functional interior design. In addition to the standard version, the fans of the brand will also be offered a crossover in two versions: M Sport and M Sport X. In these versions, the car will be equipped with 20 inch wheels, special side pads on the thresholds, clearance reduced by 10 mm. In addition, Dynamic Damper Control system will be available for installation. The system will allow you to customize the suspension of the car according to the individual preferences of the driver.
