The Aston Martin company declassified the open version of the flagman compartment DB11. The cabriolet got the traditional Volante prefix in its name. Under the cowl of the luxury car there is a 4-liter V8 engine with a double turbo-supercharging that makes 510 hp. This power unit is delivered to the British by Mercedez-AMG.

The cabriolet turned out 115 kilograms heavier than the compartment. It is connected with the mechanism of folding top and the additional strengthening of the body to increase its rigidity. The mass of Aston Martin DB11 Volante is 1870 kilograms, it’s 26 kilograms less than his predecessor, DB9 Volante weighed.

The mechanism of soft folding top allows to operate with the roof at a speed up to 50 km/h.

The roof folds in 14 seconds and rises in 16 seconds. The company says that the mechanism has passed tests in 100 thousand cycles in the climatic camera, which allows to simulate its work within 10 real years of operation.

The dealers of the company have already begun to take orders, the first clients will receive their DB11 Volante in February of the next year.
